The Spring Collection

Hallelujah, finally some much anticipated rain, to break what seemed to be an endless drought of late. Not that I’m complaining, in fact quite the contrary.

A perfect run of balmy spring days, is exactly what a celebrant and bridal party dream of, for the magical season of outdoor weddings.

And what a season thus far! From the mountains to the sea…

I sprung into spring with a delightful little road trip to Brayton NSW, accompanied by my lovely daughter Candice. We arrived at a quaint little cottage, surrounded by cherry blossoms in full bloom, and a perfect setting for a garden wedding.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, the sun was shining and I was very excited to marry the gorgeous Marc and Elodie — featured in the header image. The ceremony was held on the property amongst a stunning rustic back drop, and a small group of their closest friends.

Last week, the bride and groom enjoyed a formal wedding reception, with all the family in their beautiful island home of Mauritius.
I look forward to seeing some highlights from their “big fat Mauritian wedding”
Happy honeymooning Mr & Mrs Lafraisiere, I really miss you guys!

Back to Sydney for another day of sunshine, and to marry the lovely Kelly and Nathan
(pictured above right).  Aptly assisted by my lifeline — my middle child Chloe, we set up for a beautiful outdoor ceremony, overlooking the water at the historic Banjo Paterson Cottage in Gladesville. The bridal party arrived via water taxi and made a memorable entrance from the jetty.

The ambience from the old world charm of the stone cottage and its park like garden, created an enchanting frame for the young bride and groom. It was such a feel good ceremony with plenty of interaction from family & friends, and a live band playing some great ballads throughout. I’m sure it was a fitting start of more fun times ahead for Mr and Mrs Jones.😘

The long weekend mustered up its best efforts ever, to grace us with mother nature’s finest. As a long serving advocate of the blue mountains and its natural beauty, I was delighted to officiate a wedding there. The romantic scene was set in the beautiful grounds of the grand Fairmont Resort in Leura, reflecting my next couple, Aman and Land, perfectly.

It was a Shakespearean like setting, a string quartet alongside the mystical lake, complete with ducks and lily pods, amidst agapanthus and willow trees. The guests, a very warm and happy group of family and friends, were just a delight to meet, and it was such a pleasure for me to be part of that cultural mix!
I see an awesome future for Mr and Mrs Ali and I am so happy for you both.

It was from the mountains back to the sea, for my ‘Friday the 13th’ wedding at Little Manly Point. Although it started out a little cloudy, Black Friday soon turned into a sunny day to set off with my right hand man, the trusty hubby, for another wedding to prep and officiate.

Karen and Daniel made such a handsome couple, and the wedding was a real family affair with loads of kiddies looking adorable in their Sunday best. We had lots of laughs reminiscing over their love story during the ceremony, and they enjoyed pre reception drinks immediately following the service.

It was another magical spot to tie the knot, and in my old hood too! ‘You can take the girl out of the northern beaches but you can’t take the northern beaches out of the girl’😉
Anyway, the very happy Mr and Mrs Visser, are currently enjoying a well deserved honeymoon in paradise. Congrats on your marriage Kaz and Daz!

I’ve always wanted to facilitate a service at the infamous Little Bay Chapel, which is just a stones throw away from home. My prayers were answered last week, when I got to officiate a baby naming ceremony there. It belongs to the Prince Henry Historical site and is perfectly situated on the point at Little Bay.

This modern little heritage listed building has several rows of church pews, a vestry, and an amazing A frame lead light window behind the altar, overlooking the sea.
It was such a privilege to be there, and provide a memorable ceremony for the baby and her family.

Well, it’s still raining here, and all of those beautiful outdoor settings are getting some well deserved TLC, after putting on such a good show this spring. I hope the weather gods are just as kind as we begin to prepare for the forthcoming summer events.

Enjoy the weekend everyone
Tina 🌞
