HOW OLD DO WE NEED TO BE?
Over the age of 18 years. It is possible for one party to be aged between 16 and 18 subject to court approval.
At the ceremony two witnesses over the age of 18 years are required.
DO WE NEED TO MEET IN PERSON?
If you live in Sydney then I would love to meet with you as this gives us the opportunity to get to know one another, and to give you a better insight into who I am, and how I interact with people.
My home office is situated in the Maroubra/Matraville area.
I believe communication is my greatest strength and I endeavour to keep you posted with all the necessary follow up details following our initial meeting.
I also offer the opportunity of an all inclusive rehearsal with you and the bridal party if this is feasible.
WHAT PAPERWORK DO WE NEED and WHEN CAN WE BE MARRIED?
The “Notice of Intended Marriage” needs to be lodged no more than 18 months prior to, and no later than one calendar month before the wedding date.
Identification requirements: You will need to present a valid passport OR your original birth certificates which shows the date and place of birth and photo ID.
Should either party have been married previously, the original death or divorce certificate.
The Declaration of Marriage needs to be completed nearer to the wedding day.
HOW FLEXIBLE CAN THE CEREMONY BE?
Within the guidelines of the Marriage Act 1961 (and good taste) we are free to design a unique ceremony which reflects your personality, and fits in with the overall theme for your wedding. You can include your own vows, readings/blessings/prayers, musical choices, rituals or cultural traditions. We can plan the ceremony to include the involvement and participation of children or other family members & friends.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Part of your total fee includes a $150 deposit which is payable at the time of booking and completing your “Notice of Intended Marriage.” This fee covers initial administration costs and locks me in for the date and time of your ceremony. The balance of your total fee is payable no later than 14 days before your ceremony.
